The Fridley Youth Football strives to provide a quality, structured youth football program to the students of Independent School District 14 and/or residents of the City of Fridley in grades 2-7.
Our developmental program teaches football fundamentals, good sportsmanship, character, discipline, competitiveness and teamwork, skills that will stay with players throughout their lives.
We are open to all youth who want to play the game of football; no player will be turned away due to financial hardship.

Fridley Youth Football is open to students of Independent School District 14 and/or residents of the City of Fridley in grades 2-7. Our dedicated coaching staff is comprised of volunteers, all of whom complete annual training in positive coaching and player safety. We are open to all youth who want to play the game of football; no player will be turned away due to financial hardship.
Our coaches believe that participation in youth sports provides benefits that will stay with players throughout their lives. Research shows that organized youth sports instill confidence in young athletes to be part of a team and to make new friends in a safe environment. It's also important to keep it fun so kids want to continue to participate.
Sports--and life--is about achieving one's personal best. We believe youth sports develop positive attributes including healthier lifestyles, self-esteem, fair play and good citizenship, which will benefit each participant long after their playing days.
However, the staff of Fridley Youth Football stresses academics over athletics; schoolwork should and does take priority. They ask that the player or his family stay in communication with the coaches if practices or games are missed due to academic tasks. We have a great support system in the families, friends and fans of Tiger Football. In addition to Team Parents at the youth level, the Fridley Touchdown Club supports all Tiger players from 2nd grade through Varsity. The Youth Football program encourages families to become involved; it's your support and excitement that will keep the program vibrant and growing!
